This week, I'm inspired by the work of young photographer Ryan James Caruthers. Through his double exposures, the artist infuses mundane images of every day life with glimmering glimpses of the extraordinary. The artist binds men and women to natural landscapes and cityscapes in an unnatural and somewhat surreal manner, calling into question ideas of man's relation to nature and experience of it. The resulting images have a weightless and dream-like quality to them.
